Heavenly Intervention

“The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.”
Psalm 32:8

One year ago December we moved to a 2-acre wooded lot with a small cabin on it.  We believe with all our hearts God led us here.  It was SO romantic to me...at first.   As the months progressed, we’ve had to reckon with copperheads, huge carpenter ants, web-worms, some other bug I’m not sure of, rats in the attic, backed-up septic issues, emergency propane fills, electrical issues, lots of insulating issues around doors and windows, just to name a few.  My first instinct? RUN!  I’m quite the wimp when it comes to dealing with these types of things.  I question God, I question my ability to hear Him, I question my faith and, as so well & often written from Anointed Messages, instead of fighting the good fight, I rather think, “since we’re having so many ‘troubles’, this must not be where God wants us.”  Right?

Our most recent septic system trouble was the last straw for me.   We knew we had lots of work to do with this property and called it “the 5-year project” from the git-go. However, I thought the projects were going to be aesthetic, not problematic!

I spoke to my husband and declared my desire to move!  He said, “OK”, but first we have to fix everything. =/  Wise-guy!

That night, I had a dream that catapulted me straight up in bed from my sleep!  “What in the world was that?”  What it was = another heavenly intervention from God.  I saw a HUGE tree; majestic & tall.  Then, the tree did something trees don’t do!   It PULSATED in the ground.  Like a heartbeat!  Just one beat, but it was surely all that was needed to get my attention.  I heard the powerful sound it made and felt the extreme strength of it.   What an amazing way for God to LEAD us to stay put; telling us this is His heart for us right now.  He IS here, and in His strength and power, we will continue to move through whatever comes.

Recently, after sharing some of my dreams with a Bible teacher, she chuckled and said, “God does not lead through dreams anymore.”  Well, I haven’t heard God tell me to leave for Joppa or start building an ark, however, I believe the messages I often receive through dreams are just as “leading” as if God had told me to do one of the aforementioned.   I didn’t say anything in response, I just listened.  I didn’t feel I had to defend myself or convince her otherwise.  However, after I left, I thought about how quickly she responded.  It was as if she was “parroting” one of her mentors or teachers who had “trained” her.   It was like a yes or no answer on a quiz; “Does God speak through dreams?” Answer: No, not anymore.  I have to laugh...can you imagine God’s reaction to such an answer?

I’m still receiving these heavenly wonders and my gratefulness will last a lifetime!

“For God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it. He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds.  He whispers in their ears and terrifies them with warnings.  He makes them turn from doing wrong; he keeps them from pride.  He protects them from the grave, from crossing over the river of death.”
Job 33:14-18

“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.”
  Acts 2:17-18

Who can say this recent dream wasn’t God leading?

I believe God can do whatever He wants to do!  He is the same God today as He was yesterday and will be the same tomorrow!

God has been so faithful to fill many of my nights with dreams - leading dreams - that encourage and strengthen me, dreams that assure me He is with me and knows exactly where I am at all times.

I can move forward now, knowing, beyond a shadow of doubt, God said stay and that I can trust He has a reason and a blessing for our being here.

All praise to God!
